What exosome treatment is used for
Exosomes are mainly used to support skin quality and recovery. They are an add-on that works alongside energy-based or needling treatments.
- Redness and sensitivity after procedures
- Dull or uneven skin tone
- Rough texture and enlarged-looking pores
- Fine lines and early ageing changes
- Post-acne marks, as part of a combined plan
- Dehydrated, stressed-looking skin
The most common pairing is with RF microneedling, and patients with active breakouts usually start with a dedicated acne treatment plan.
How exosome treatment works
Exosomes are nano-sized extracellular vesicles that cells use to communicate. Cosmetic exosome products contain these vesicles, which carry proteins, lipids and genetic signalling molecules thought to influence inflammation, collagen production and barrier repair in the skin.
Because exosomes cannot pass easily through intact skin, they are usually applied immediately after a procedure that opens microchannels, such as Potenza RF microneedling or a fractional laser like Caphri. This timing is why exosomes are often described as a recovery booster. Studies in aesthetics are encouraging but still limited, so we treat exosomes as a supportive add-on within a wider skin rejuvenation plan.
Your treatment day
- Assessment Your physician reviews your skin and decides which procedure to pair with exosomes and at what settings.
- Numbing and primary procedure After topical numbing, the microneedling or laser treatment is performed in your private room.
- Exosome application The exosome product is applied over the freshly treated skin, sometimes with gentle pressing or a second light pass.
- Calming and instructions A soothing mask may be applied and you receive aftercare guidance, including when to restart your usual skincare.
Results timeline
Early benefits relate to comfort and recovery, while texture changes build with repeat sessions.

Exosome Treatment FAQ
Are exosomes the same as stem cells?
No. Exosomes are tiny vesicles that cells release, not cells themselves. Cosmetic exosome products contain these vesicles, which carry signalling molecules thought to support skin repair.
Why are exosomes applied after microneedling or laser?
Exosomes do not penetrate intact skin well. Microneedling or fractional laser creates temporary microchannels so the product can reach deeper layers of the skin.
Does exosome treatment hurt?
The exosome application itself is gentle. Any discomfort comes from the paired procedure, which is done with topical numbing cream and usually feels like pricking or warmth.
How many sessions do I need?
Many patients have 3–5 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart, often timed with their microneedling or laser course. Your physician will tailor the plan to your skin.
Can I fly home after exosome treatment?
Most patients can fly within 1–2 days, depending on the paired procedure. Keep skin moisturised during the flight and protect it from the sun afterwards.
What are the side effects?
Side effects mostly relate to the paired procedure: redness, mild swelling, dryness or pinpoint marks for a few days. Allergic reaction or infection is uncommon, and evidence on exosomes is still developing.
How much does exosome treatment cost?
Pricing depends on the product and the procedure it is paired with. Message us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
