What skin boosters treat
Skin boosters target the quality of the skin itself. They are popular before events and as part of long-term anti-ageing maintenance.
- Dry, dehydrated skin
- Dull tone and lack of glow
- Fine crepey lines on cheeks and neck
- Loss of skin elasticity
- Rough texture and enlarged-looking pores
- Thin skin on the neck, décolletage and hands
If thin, fragile skin is your main concern, Rejuran Healer is a polynucleotide booster option, while hollows that need volume are better suited to under-eye fillers or other fillers.
How skin boosters work
Most skin boosters use lightly cross-linked or non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid, which attracts and holds water in the dermis. Placed as many tiny deposits across the face, it improves hydration from within so the skin looks plumper, smoother and more reflective. Some boosters add amino acids or antioxidants.
Regenerative boosters such as polynucleotides (PN/PDRN) or collagen stimulators work differently, supporting the skin's own repair and collagen production over several weeks. Your physician may combine both types, or pair boosters with Juvelook or energy-based treatments, depending on your skin assessment.
Your treatment day
- Skin assessment Your physician checks hydration, elasticity and texture, sometimes with Mark-Vu II imaging, and selects the booster type.
- Numbing Topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes while you relax in your private room.
- Micro-injections The booster is placed in small, evenly spaced deposits across the treatment area using a fine needle, cannula or injector device.
- Calming and review The skin is cleaned and soothed, and the doctor explains what the small bumps are and when they will settle.
Results timeline
Hydration often shows quickly, while regenerative effects build over a course.

Skin Booster FAQ
Is a skin booster the same as filler?
No. Skin boosters use thinner products spread evenly in the superficial skin to hydrate and improve quality. Fillers use firmer gels placed deeper to add volume or change contour.
Do skin boosters hurt?
With numbing cream, most patients describe a series of small pricks. Areas like the upper lip and around the eyes can feel more sensitive.
How long do skin boosters last?
Results from HA boosters typically last around 4–6 months after an initial course. Regenerative boosters may last longer as they support your own collagen, and maintenance sessions keep results steady.
How many sessions do I need?
Most patients start with 2–3 sessions about 3–4 weeks apart, then maintain every few months. Visitors on a short trip can still benefit from a single session.
Can I fly after a skin booster?
Yes, flying the next day is generally fine. Small bumps may still be visible for a day or two, and staying hydrated on the flight helps.
Can I combine a skin booster with lifting treatments?
Yes. Boosters are often combined with Thermage, Ulthera or other energy-based treatments. Your physician will plan the order and timing so each treatment works well.
How much does a skin booster cost?
The price depends on the booster type, amount and number of sessions. Contact us on WhatsApp for a personalised quote.
