How face contouring fillers work
Your physician studies your face from the front, side and three-quarter view, looking at the proportions of the upper, middle and lower thirds and the outline from temple to jaw. A plan is agreed that prioritises the areas with most effect. Hyaluronic acid filler of suitable firmness is then placed with a fine needle or blunt cannula, deep on bone where structure is needed and more superficially where softness is needed.
Because several areas are treated, the total volume is distributed to keep each area natural. Results are visible immediately and settle as swelling fades. HA filler is gradually broken down and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Where a wide lower face is due to a strong masseter muscle, your doctor may combine filler with jaw Botox.

Does face contouring with fillers hurt?
Numbing cream and lidocaine in the filler make most areas comfortable. The chin and temples can feel more sensitive for a moment.
How long do face contouring fillers last?
Results typically last 9–18 months. Firmer fillers in deep areas like the chin and jaw often last longer than softer fillers in mobile areas.
How many areas are treated?
It depends on your face. Some people need two or three areas, others more. Your doctor prioritises the areas that improve balance most.
Can I fly home after treatment?
Yes, most patients fly the next day. Stay hydrated on the flight, and if possible allow a few days in Seoul in case small adjustments are needed.
Is face contouring with fillers the same as V-line surgery?
No. Fillers add volume and refine outline without changing bone, so the change is more subtle and temporary. Surgery permanently alters bone structure with much longer recovery.
What are the side effects?
Swelling, tenderness and bruising are common and short-lived. Rare risks include lumps, infection and vascular occlusion, which is why a physician plans and performs every treatment. HA filler can be dissolved.
