How hip dip fillers work
Your doctor examines you standing, marks the depth and extent of each dip, and compares both sides. A volumising filler suitable for body use is placed in the fatty layer under the skin with a blunt cannula through one or two small entry points on each side. The product is fanned out evenly and moulded so it blends with the surrounding contour.
Hip dips can require a significant volume of filler per side, so cost is higher than for facial areas and some patients prefer to build the result over two sessions. The body gradually breaks the filler down, so results are temporary. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if adjustment is needed.

Aftercare
- Avoid sleeping on your sides for the first few nights if possible
- Wear loose clothing over the hips for several days
- Skip intense lower-body exercise for about 2 weeks
- Avoid massage, saunas and hot baths for 2 weeks
- Keep entry points clean and dry for 24 hours
