What non-surgical facial contouring treats
Contouring starts with the reason a face looks wide, flat or unbalanced. Bone structure, muscle and fat each need a different tool.
- Square or wide lower face from a strong masseter muscle
- Soft or undefined jawline and chin
- Fullness under the chin or along the jaw from small fat pockets
- Flat cheeks or hollow temples that narrow the upper face
- Recessed chin that shortens the side profile
- Mild asymmetry between the two sides of the face
For filler-only plans see face contouring fillers, and for jaw slimming see face slimming injections.
How non-surgical facial contouring works
Your physician looks at your face from the front and in profile and works out which layer is responsible for the shape you want to change. Where structure is missing, hyaluronic acid filler is placed on bone at the chin, jaw angle, cheeks or temples. Where a wide jaw comes from muscle, botulinum toxin type A is injected into the masseter so it gradually becomes less bulky. Where there is a small, stubborn pocket of fat, injectable fat-reduction formulations are used over several sessions.
The methods are often combined in a set order, for example jaw toxin first, then filler once the lower face has slimmed. HA filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. If your main concern is sagging rather than shape, a non-surgical facelift with devices such as Ultherapy Prime or Onda is usually more suitable.
Your treatment day
- Shape analysis Your physician examines bone, muscle and fat, often asking you to clench to assess the masseter.
- Personalised plan You agree which methods to use, in which order, and how many visits are likely.
- Treatment in your private room Numbing cream is applied where needed, then each method is performed by the doctor.
- Review and next steps You see the immediate change from any filler and book follow-up sessions if fat reduction or a toxin review is planned.
Results timeline
Each method has its own pace, so a combined plan improves in stages.

Non-Surgical Facial Contouring FAQ
What is the difference between facial contouring and a facelift?
Contouring changes shape and proportion with filler, toxin and fat reduction. A non-surgical facelift lifts and tightens sagging tissue with energy devices or threads. Many people over 40 benefit from a mix of both.
Does non-surgical facial contouring hurt?
Most injections feel like brief pinches, and numbing cream is used where helpful. Fat-reduction injections can sting and leave the area tender for a few days.
How long do the results last?
Jaw toxin typically lasts 3–6 months and HA filler 9–18 months. Fat cells removed by fat-reduction injections do not return, although remaining fat can enlarge with weight gain.
How many sessions will I need?
Filler is usually one session. Fat reduction typically needs 2–4 sessions a few weeks apart, and jaw toxin is repeated every few months if you want to maintain the result.
Can I do this during a short trip to Seoul?
Filler and jaw toxin can be done in one visit and you can fly the next day. Fat reduction needs repeat sessions, so it suits longer stays or return visits.
What are the side effects?
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common and short-lived. Less common risks include chewing fatigue after jaw toxin, lumps after injections and, rarely, vascular complications with filler, which is why a physician performs every treatment.
How much does facial contouring cost?
It depends on which methods and how many areas are included. Message our coordinators on WhatsApp at +82 10 6463 5532 for a personalised quote.
