What acne treatment addresses
Acne involves excess oil, blocked pores, bacteria and inflammation, and it often leaves marks behind. Your plan targets the stage your skin is in.
- Inflamed papules and pustules
- Blackheads, whiteheads and congested pores
- Excess oiliness and shine
- Adult and hormonal-pattern breakouts
- Red or brown post-acne marks
- Rolling, boxcar and ice-pick scars
Once breakouts are controlled, scars are often treated with RF microneedling. For overall skin quality, see skin rejuvenation.
How acne treatment works
For active acne, Caphri 1450 nm delivers laser energy to the sebaceous glands, aiming to reduce oil production and inflammation with a cooling system to protect the surface. Alongside this, your doctor recommends medical skincare suited to acne-prone skin and may perform gentle extractions. Moderate or severe acne, or acne that leaves scars, may need prescription medication, which your doctor will discuss after reviewing your history.
For scars, Potenza RF microneedling heats the dermis to remodel collagen beneath depressed scars, while AVIO Er:YAG resurfacing smooths raised edges and deeper texture. Where scars have lost volume, a collagen stimulator such as Juvelook may be added. Scar work usually begins once active breakouts are under control.
Your treatment day
- Assessment Your doctor examines your skin, reviews medication and skincare, and may use Mark-Vu II imaging.
- Plan You agree a plan covering in-clinic treatment, home skincare and, if needed, prescription medication.
- Treatment The physician performs Caphri, Potenza or AVIO, with numbing for scar treatments.
- Soothing care A calming mask is applied and you receive written aftercare and your next session date.
Results timeline
Active acne usually settles before scar improvement becomes visible.

Acne Treatment FAQ
Can lasers cure acne?
Lasers can reduce oil production and inflammation, but acne is a chronic condition and can return. The best control usually combines in-clinic treatment, medical skincare and, when needed, prescription medication. Your doctor will set realistic goals.
Will I need medication for my acne?
Mild acne often responds to skincare and in-clinic treatment. Moderate to severe acne, or acne that leaves scars, may need prescription medication. Your doctor will explain the options and any monitoring required.
How many sessions will I need?
Active acne usually needs 3–5 Caphri sessions about 2–4 weeks apart. Scar treatment typically needs 3–4 Potenza sessions, sometimes with AVIO. Your plan depends on severity.
Does acne scar treatment hurt?
Numbing cream is used for RF microneedling and resurfacing, so most people feel heat and prickling. Caphri uses cooling and usually feels like warm snaps. Discomfort is short-lived.
Can I treat acne during a short trip to Seoul?
Yes, a first session and a home skincare plan can be started on a short stay. Courses work best with follow-up visits. Your doctor can advise what to continue at home.
What are the side effects?
Redness, mild swelling and temporary dryness are common. Some people get a short breakout flare or temporary darkening after scar treatments. Risks are reduced when settings are chosen by a physician.
How much does acne treatment cost?
Cost depends on the devices used and the number of sessions. Message us on WhatsApp at +82 10 6463 5532 for a personalised quote.
