How glabella wrinkle treatment works
Two small corrugator muscles pull the brows inward, and the procerus muscle pulls them down. Your doctor injects small doses of botulinum toxin type A, such as Botox or Xeomin, usually at about five points between and above the brows. The muscles relax enough to stop deep frowning, while dose and placement are adjusted so the brows do not look heavy or flat.
When lines are etched into the skin, relaxing the muscle helps but may not erase the crease. Rejuran, skin boosters and exosomes strengthen and hydrate the skin over a course of sessions. The glabella is a higher-risk area for filler because of its blood supply, so filler is used here only after careful assessment.
