What non-surgical droopy eyelid correction treats
Upper lids can look heavy for several reasons. Your doctor separates skin and brow causes, which may respond to non-surgical care, from muscle causes, which do not.
- Hooded skin folding over the eyelid crease
- A brow that has moved lower with age
- Heaviness at the outer corner of the eye
- Eyeshadow transferring onto the upper lid fold
- A tired look even after rest
- Mild asymmetry between the two upper lids
If the brow is the main problem, our non-surgical brow lift goes into more detail. For crepey lid skin without much hooding, see upper eyelid tightening.
How non-surgical droopy eyelid correction works
Most hooding starts above the eyelid. As the brow and forehead tissue loosen, they descend and push skin down over the lid. Ultherapy Prime, with real-time DeepSEE imaging, and other HIFU lifting deliver focused ultrasound under the brow and temple to tighten deeper tissue. Thermage FLX and other RF tightening heat the skin to support collagen. Ultrasound is placed along the brow and above the bony rim of the eye socket, never over the eyeball. Lifting develops gradually over two to three months.
Small doses of botulinum toxin type A relax the muscle that pulls the outer brow down, so the brow tail can rise slightly. This lifts the brow; it does not treat true ptosis, and careful placement matters because toxin in the wrong spot can make a lid droop. Where the lid skin is thin, Rejuran or exosomes can improve its quality.
Your treatment day
- Eyelid and brow check Your doctor measures lid height and brow position with your forehead relaxed, and screens for signs of true ptosis.
- Plan and marking Treatment lines for ultrasound or RF, or toxin points at the brow tail, are marked on the skin.
- Treatment The chosen device or injections are performed in a private room, with numbing or cooling for comfort.
- Review plan You get aftercare advice and timings for review, including a 2-week check if toxin was used.
Results timeline
Toxin works within days, while device lifting builds slowly as collagen remodels.

Droopy Eyelid Correction (Non-Surgical) FAQ
Is droopy eyelid the same as ptosis?
Not always. Many people with heavy lids have loose skin or a low brow, while the eyelid muscle works normally. Ptosis means the lid margin itself sits low because the lifting muscle is weak, and it needs an oculoplastic surgeon.
Can Botox fix droopy eyelids?
Toxin can lift the outer brow slightly by relaxing the muscle that pulls it down, which may open the eye a little. It does not treat ptosis. Placed in the wrong spot, toxin can make a lid droop, so dosing and placement are done by a physician.
Does it hurt?
Ultrasound and RF cause brief heat or tingling, and your doctor adjusts energy and uses cooling for comfort. Toxin injections feel like a quick pinch. Most people return to normal activities straight away.
How long do results last?
Ultrasound and RF lifting usually last around 6–12 months, and toxin about 3–4 months. Ageing continues, so many people repeat treatment once or twice a year.
Can I fly home after treatment?
Yes, there is usually no reason to delay a flight. Results from devices build after you leave. If toxin was used, try to plan a review around 2 weeks or send photos via WhatsApp.
When should I consider surgery instead?
Surgery is the better choice for large amounts of excess lid skin, bulging fat or true ptosis. Your doctor will tell you if non-surgical treatment is unlikely to help enough.
How much does non-surgical droopy eyelid correction cost?
Cost depends on the device, energy level and whether toxin or skin treatments are added. Message us on WhatsApp at +82 10 6463 5532 for a personalised quote.
