Because tips and modes can be swapped, Potenza handles several concerns that would otherwise need separate devices. The doctor can change settings between the cheeks, nose and jawline in one visit.

How Potenza works
Potenza has two RF delivery modes. In monopolar mode energy travels more deeply and broadly, which suits tightening and collagen building. In bipolar mode energy stays concentrated between neighbouring needles, which suits more precise work on pores and scars. Depth is usually set between 0.5 and 3.5 mm, so energy can be placed where the problem sits rather than on the surface.
The device also accepts different tips. Insulated needles protect the surface and release heat only at the tip, a choice often used for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Denser multi-needle tips cover larger areas such as the cheeks, and finer tips help around the nose and under the eyes. After treatment, the open channels can take regenerative products such as exosomes or Rejuran when your doctor recommends them.
Your Potenza day
- Mapping your skin Your doctor examines your skin, often with Mark-Vu II imaging, and maps which tip, depth and mode suit each zone.
- Numbing Topical anaesthetic is applied for 30–40 minutes in your private room.
- Potenza passes The physician treats each zone with its own settings, for example deeper monopolar passes on the jawline and bipolar passes on pores.
- Recovery care A calming mask or regenerative serum is applied, and you leave with aftercare instructions.

Aftercare
- Skip makeup for the first 24 hours
- Use gentle cleanser and plain moisturiser for 2–3 days
- Avoid saunas, hot baths and intense exercise for 2–3 days
- Drink plenty of water and keep skin hydrated
- Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen daily
- Pause retinoids and exfoliating acids for about a week

Does Potenza hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first, so most people feel warmth and prickling. Bony areas such as the forehead and jawline feel stronger. Settings can be adjusted if you are uncomfortable.
How many Potenza sessions do I need?
Most patients need 2–4 sessions about four weeks apart. Deeper acne scars may need more. Your doctor will suggest a plan after assessing your skin.
Is Potenza safe for darker skin?
Potenza is often chosen for darker skin because most energy is delivered below the surface. Insulated needles and conservative settings reduce pigment risk further. Sun protection afterwards remains important.
Can I fly home after Potenza?
Flying the next day is usually fine. Keep your skin moisturised on the plane and use sunscreen on arrival. Some redness may still show for 1–3 days.
What are the side effects?
Redness, swelling and small grid marks are common for a few days. Less often, there can be breakouts, temporary darkening or minor bruising. Serious complications are uncommon when settings are chosen by a physician.
