Types of dark circles we treat
Pressing gently on the skin, stretching it and changing the light all help show which type you have.
- Brown pigment-type circles
- Blue or purple visible vessels
- Shadow from tear-trough hollowness
- Thin skin that shows the muscle beneath
- Mixed-type circles with more than one cause
- Darkness made worse by mild puffiness
For a full overview of eye-area options, see under eye rejuvenation. If puffiness is the main issue, read eye bag reduction.
How each cause is treated
Pigment: brown circles, common in darker skin types and with sun exposure or rubbing, are treated with low-energy laser toning or PicoSure over several sessions, with conservative settings to avoid irritation. Visible vessels: a blue or purple tone from vessels showing through thin skin can be reduced with a vascular laser such as Excel V, usually in 1–3 sessions, with eye protection in place.
Thin skin: where the skin is so thin that the darker muscle shows through, Rejuran or PN injections, exosome therapy and LDM ultrasound help strengthen and hydrate it over a course. Hollowness: shadow from a deep groove can be softened with a small amount of soft HA filler, explained on tear trough fillers, which can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. Filler does not lighten pigment or vessels.
Your treatment day
- Cause assessment Your physician examines the area in different light and with gentle stretching, and may use Mark-Vu II imaging to separate pigment from vessels.
- Preparation Makeup is removed, protective eye shields are placed for laser, and numbing cream is applied if injections are planned.
- Treatment The doctor performs the laser session or injections chosen for your cause, adjusting settings for the delicate under-eye skin.
- Soothing and plan The area is cooled, aftercare is explained and your next session is scheduled around your travel dates.
Results timeline
Pigment and skin-quality changes build gradually, while shadow from hollowness improves as soon as filler is placed.

Dark Circles Treatment FAQ
What causes dark circles?
The main causes are brown pigment, visible blood vessels, shadow from hollowness and thin skin. Genetics, sun exposure, rubbing, allergies and ageing all play a part, and many people have more than one cause.
Can dark circles be removed completely?
Dark circles can usually be improved, but complete removal cannot be promised, especially when genetics play a role. A cause-based plan gives the most realistic result.
How many sessions will I need?
Pigment and thin-skin treatments usually need 3–5 sessions. Vessel-type darkness often needs 1–3 laser sessions, and filler is usually a single visit.
Will filler fix my dark circles?
Only if the darkness is shadow from hollowness. Filler does not lighten pigment or vessels, and it can look puffy if overused.
Is laser safe under the eyes?
Yes, when performed by a physician with protective eye shields and settings suited to delicate skin. Darker skin types are treated conservatively to reduce the risk of pigment change.
How much does dark circles treatment cost?
Cost depends on the cause and the treatments in your plan. Message us on WhatsApp at +82 10 6463 5532 for a personalised quote.
Can I treat dark circles on a short visit to Seoul?
Yes. Many visitors have a consultation and first session on the same day, and laser or injection sessions have little downtime. Tell us your dates so we can plan the best sequence.
